Mom and Me Days

Pumpkin Patch
Since Big Brother is off at school for two full days or more per week, G2 and I have been finding fun little activities to do with friends.  G2 is pretty grumpy about his brother being gone.  I try to interact with him and we go on hour long bike rides, play games, do art, and make cool train tracks.  But he continues to be grumpy about being alone.  He really misses his brother.  So, in an effort to keep things fun this fall, we have headed to the local family farm two different times for a morning of activities and fall harvesting.  On our first outing, we went and picked out all the pumpkins for the service project my Girl Scout troop had planned.  We actually had to saw the pumpkins off of the vine.  We had a great time with my co-leader and her little girl.  The little ones got pretty into selecting each pumpkin and running around picking the "perfect" ones.
Corn Maze
On our next trip out to the farm, the corn maze was open.  This is a really long corn maze.  The group of 5 or so kiddos we were with had a really great time and we were in the corn maze FOREVER and we still only made it half way through before we exited out a special "exit for people who give up" in the back corner.  G2 was pretty thrilled with his tiny little piece of corn he found.  That thing rode around in the car with us for days.  Loving my Mom and Me Days with this little guy....even though I'm not quite as exciting as playing with brother!
