The milestone of 1st day of Kindergarten has come and gone....and I have survived. G has too and quite honestly, she is thriving in school. She loves it. She is excited to tell me what she has done each day. She cannot wait to go back. Now, I know the school year is very young. But I do hope she keeps her love for learning. How wonderful that would be on so many different levels. After a lot of micro-thinking ,mental pro/con lists, stress that kept me up in the night, and annoying Brad with all of the above type thinking and behaviors, we decided to have G attend our neighborhood school. I love the fact that we get to walk to school every morning (ask me about this in mid-January) and that this option gives us the latest starting time. Based upon the number of fashion dilema's we have already had this year, those extra minutes are much needed.

Catching up....aka We Still Exist
G took two sessions of swimming lessons this summer and made huge progress in the pool. She moved from Level 1 to Level 3 and is already looking forward to taking another round of lessons later in the fall. We also did gymnastics again and now we have a cartwheeling fool on our hands. Including a video of G using the "back handspring machine"....it's a little device that helps you get correct form for future back handsprings. It's one of G's fav things at gymnastics. I'm kind of interested in trying it out myself and may have to ask to go out on the floor to try it out one of these days....but back on the topic of G....The high level of interest in The American Girls has continued and we now have our own resident "Kirsten" in our house. We are now also almost finished with The Little House series so that has fueled the pioneer interest as well.
Throw in visitors, a camping trip to Redfish Lake, a trip to Nebraksa, and another batch of visitors in mid-August, and well, you can see how quickly our summer has gone by. Also thought I'd throw in a picture of Twin Falls, a semi-local attraction. We kept hearing how beautiful the falls were this year so we just had to check it out.
