Brad's away again this week but the kids and I are having a good time and seem to keep ourselves rather busy. I don't want to sound like an old person, but the weather here is beautiful right now...Idaho is so glorious in the summer and it makes up for the 10 months out of the year that we get snow (you think I'm joking but this snow fact is true!).

Grace runs around like crazy all day long with her neighbor friends. Will likes to try to keep up but he also likes the moments he gets to spend with me without Grace tagging along. He is great at helping me water the flowers and loves to wander around the yard. He is a bit obsessed with nakedness right now so we have had to establish some firm "no shirt, no shoes, no outside" rules. This occurred after I one time let him go outside in his onesie (i know, trashy but I didn't feel like forcing the issue). After the ONE TIME, he decided he could be naked anywhere and undressed himself during story time. He was of course sitting at the front and I was trying to be a stealth and get to him but before I could he had his shirt off and his pants half way down. His other obsession are the pj pants in the picture. He absolutely does not want to take them off in the morning and cannot wait to put them on after his bath. He freaks out until they are on him and then he dances around doing a wild jig.

Other news, Will is getting a cold and so he is doing his cough until he makes himself vomit routine. No fun for anyone involved...poor little guy. We had plans to go to a concert tonight with some neighbors but after several coughing/vomitting episodes it was decided that we go to bed on time and not push our limits this night as we have been doing the last several. The weather here is so awesome that it is hard to come in too early!

Weirdest Kids in the Universe

Our kids have been putting together some crazy outfits lately...and yes, we let them wear them out if they choose because we have bigger battles. We thought Grace was the only one blessed with crazy style but Will is really into deciding what he wears and how he wears it (hence the side ways hat). The pic of Grace with no shirt was her discovering that the suction cup from Will's toy sticks to her back or belly if she licks it.

She's a Rhyming Queen

We've been rather slow at posting lately but between our trip to CA and then getting home and having a lot of stuff to catch up on for work, I have not had time to spend on the computer.

Grace has been into rhymes and rhyming words for quite some time now. She likes to make up silly words and laugh at them. Well, she has a book called something like "Ducks in Muck" (you can see where this is going....). She was yelling out words that rhyme like "truck" "buck" "stuck" "luck"....then asking the definition of the words she came up with but was unsure of there meaning or asking if it was really a word or not. Of course soon she is yelling the "F" word. To top it off we are at the Department of Health and Welfare office as I needed to get updated fingerprints for my work. As of this afternoon she is still in my custody and no child protection workers have showed up at the door.
