Ask and you Shall Receive

So, my parents saw my comment about wishing I had a picture of myself in my pioneer dress....and they rapidly found several! I used to love going out to Stuhr Museum in my outfit. I don't think I would wear it to the grocery store or around the house all day but I may be wrong about that!!!!! It is fun to share an interest with Grace! I think she will be super excited to see the pictures of me in my own pioneer dress.

"City bus, City bus"

Today we went on one of our little field trips I dream up and to make the event even more fun, we asked our friends J,L, & M to join us. I think the kids had a lot more fun when they had friends to share it with and having them entertained actually gave the Moms a little time for some adult conversation. I am not sure many (or for that matter, any)of the other passengers appreciated our children's enthusiasm and excitement over riding the "CITY BUS" which they were all chanting or the various rendetions of "The Wheels on the Bus" they sang but what I do know is that everyone had a pretty good time.

Waiting for the bus is never any fun.

Yes, his mouth is wide open because he is singing.....very loudly.

Where is the humor and witty comments....

My posts seem a little dry you may wonder??? Well, maybe it is because I am trying to cram our whole month of activities into one night of power blogging. No time for humor as I keep getting complaints (no names mentioned MEGAN!!! whom I must add only has one post on her entire blog for the past year! love ya girl!) and am just trying to update. We've been busy and that big ol' memory card that does not require frequent downloads will take all of the blame because really, who wants a post with no pics of the kiddos!!!Our daily lives are filled with swimming lessons, gymnastics, and story time along with play dates and now that the rain has stopped...some water fun. With the play set, a small little plastic pool, and a sprinkler we are golden for hours in the backyard. I'm throwing in a video so you can

see for yourself how much Will loves his little brother. Really truly though, all three kiddos enjoy one another for the majority of their waking hours.

Our American Girl

Grace is in love with the American Girls books...she has read the entire original series twice all the way through and is starting on some of the books for the third time. She has read all the of AG mystery books she can get her hands on at least two times as well. Her fav is Kirsten and well, look what Grandma D found for her.....

if you are wondering "what is that?" well, it is a reproduction of the "Meet Kirsten" outfit. Grace really loves all the AG but for a long time, Kirsten has been her absolute fav. I'm rather fond of Kirsten myself...too bad I cannot find a photo of me in my Little House on the Prairie dress that I used to wear.

The Playset (aka How Brad Spent all the Sunny Weekend Days for a Month)

Brad is a pretty humble guy, so I am going to brag on him for a bit. This spring, he pretty much, by himself, built the kids an awesome new playset. G&G D supplied the set (yes, Brad still loves you dearly) leaving Brad the task of assembling it. It was a kind of long process due to weather delays, but it is now fully functioning and has already provided many hours of entertainment for the kids and their friends. We spent a lot of time outside before....now we pretty much live in the backyard.

Happy Anniversary!!!

This year Brad & I celebrated ten spectacular years together. The actual day was actually not so great and I was sitting (ok, running around chasing three children and having a quite high level of stress) at home thinking...hmmm, not exactly what I pictured myself doing ten years ago. But, once Brad got home, it was fantastic! We had already decided to keep this year pretty low key since Young G is at the age where I refuse to leave him for more than a few hours. So, we ordered in food and then after we put the kids to bed, we watched the video of our wedding. There was a lot of laughter and even some tears as we saw loved ones who have passed on. The past decade has gone by so quickly yet at the same time it feels like we have been together forever (in a good way!!!)

Baptism day

Grant was baptized and was so blessed to have many family and friends attend his special day. The service was beautiful in so many ways....we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day for his baptism to take place. Almost all of Grant's grandparents were able to attend and help us celebrate.

Grace did such a great job at her dance recital. She loves being on stage and you could tell by the big smile that was on her face during her dance. A bonus for her was that she had a crowd of family and friends to applaud her performance!

Flower Power

This year the irises, peonies, lilacs, roses, and lilies are blooming like crazy in our backyard. Not sure if it is all the rain or if they have just been in the ground long enough to finally be established. Regardless, we are all enjoying their beauty and wonderful scent!

Day Out With Thomas

Our Memorial Day weekend included a trip to Heber where we spent a "Day Out with Thomas." Both the kids were pretty excited to see the life size Thomas rolling down the track and then get to go on a train ride. The obsession with trains continues at our house and we all have fun designing tracks around the kitchen for Thomas and all his friends.
