Cruising:Roatan Island, Honduras

Our next stop was Roatan Island, Honduras.  This tiny little island is located approximately 50 miles off the coast of Honduras.  It is absolutely gorgeous!

The plans for the day included zip lining and snorkeling. We hired a driver for the day (who spoke minimal English) and we were off!

The very steep road we had to ride up to get to the start of our zip line course
Notice the duct tape on the yellow part of the bridge.
Guess duct tape is a miracle tool in every culture.

B riding the line.  The zip line course had 17 platforms (you can see one to the left).
You zip line from platform to platform.
I was pretty cool with the whole zip line thing until the guide told me (because I stupidly asked!) that snakes (about the diameter of a pencil and very long) like to hang from the trees.  Pretty sure I would have jumped off the platform if one of these little guys would have made an appearance!
Course completed.  We all had a great time!
I guess I haven't mentioned we went on the cruise with another couple.  We were officially celebrating their 10th Anniversary!  FYI--We are always available to help people celebrate milestones with cool vacations.
Capuchin monkey.  They keep these as pets in Roatan.  I'm holding Diego.
He jumped from another person onto my back and
about sent me into some kind of coronary attack!
Once I warmed up to him he and I were best buds.

Snorkeling at the West End.  You could walk right from this beautiful beach into
the water and snorkel above one of the largest barrier reefs in the world.  Amazing!
Heading out for another fun evening
