.....and that list of people who I need to call is growing longer every day. Some of you have even called more than once. And the persistant folks who are going on three times, well, let me give a little summary of the past month.
1) I flushed my cell phone down the toliet. In an act of depseration, I plunged my hand in and shoved it up into the little curvy part of the toliet and I retrieved that darn little phone. And I carefully dried it by alternating it between a bowl of rice in the nights and letting it bask in the sun during the day. And guess what....it works! I just needs a new battery. Then the frugal part of me gave in to the germ phobic in me and I though NO WAY am I holding something that has been in the toliet next to my mouth. And so, I am back to using my old phone. It's cuter any way.
2) Work stress--so, you know what I do. Let your mind go wild with worst case scenarios. Pick several of those and mesh them all together and that pretty much sums up the week I had. I'm already sensitive and a tad emotional....well, this kind of put me over the edge. If Hollywood had a genre called "dramatic comedy" I think they would show up on my door step wanting help writing a script. And for all my social work friends out there...rest assured, I will absolutely protest when they try to cast the social worker as the dumpy middle aged women with a chip on her shoulder.
3) The church I go to had a fire that destroyed the inside of the chapel. See point #2 above. When you have a lot of stress, knowing there is a place to go to soothe your soul is nice. Oh wait, it burned down.
4) Work again. During all my work stress I had to keep all the appointments I already had. I was barely home. Then I had to go to a training. My plans were to call each and every one of you back while I was making the long drive to my destination and back home. Instead I decided to have an emotional break down and cry the whole drive.
5) My car ran out of gas on the interstate. This really has no reason to do with why I haven't been returning phone calls except to say that I am apparently out of it lately (the lately point could be argued...but remember, I'm overly sensitve right now so let's just pretend I am with it sometimes or I just might start crying again).
So, please, forgive my lack of communication the past three weeks. And hopefully we can catch up soon.

Hang in there, girl!!! I hate weeks like that. Hopefully it means you have some smooth sailing coming your way soon!! Praying for you. (I ran out of gas on the highway last year, too...too much on our minds, I guess!)
Love you!
Dear sweet wonderful friend of mine, all I have to say is "BLESS YOUR HEART!!!"
I hope things are getting better! We think about you guys all the time.
I discovered your Blog and have been peeking at it from time to time. I decided to send you an email last week and didn't get a chance. Now, I am glad I didn't because you would feel obligated to respond (smile). Hang in there and I'm sending prayers your way.
I hope they cast a true social worker or reform social worker in the movie so we are properly represented ; )
